Brown in the news, not much else

November 2, 2009

The Metro West Daily News published an interesting article on the lone Republican candidate, Scott Brown and his attempt at knocking over four other democrats. It was a profile that found ways to humanize the Republican.

The article mentioned that Brown had posed for a centerfold in a magazine that declared him “America’s sexiest man”. It spinned the controversy in a different light and added to his colorful appeal.

The only interesting thing in this election is whether four democratic candidates will split the vote. With so many democratic candidates in tow to take over the late Ted Kennedy’s seat, they might just have a negative effect and split the party causing the seat to go instead to Brown.

Aside from this, the lastest news regarding the Senate Race was based on the debates, which I also heard was a snoozefest. It’s a shame that things aren’t heating up and controversies are lacking. But, in reality, what does it say about the constituents if they are only interested in gossip?

Just some food for thought.
